True View Inspections - Understanding Your Sewer Scope Report

Important Notice

True View Inspections provides neutral, third-party sewer scope inspections. We do not perform plumbing repairs, diagnose specific failure types, or quote repair prices or determine urgency.

What Our Inspections Cover

Findings are based only on visible conditions at the time of the inspection using camera technology. Our inspections focus on identifying observable conditions that may materially impact function, value, or safety.

Common Observations Include:

  • Tree root intrusion at joints
  • Pipe bellies or standing water
  • Hairline or structural cracking
  • Grease buildup, scale, or debris
  • Material type or aging pipe concerns (e.g. Orangeburg)
  • Misalignments or offset joints

Our Reports May Include:

  • Pipe Materials: Identification of materials such as ABS, cast iron, clay, or Orangeburg
  • Location Details: Specific footage measurements where issues are observed
  • Condition Assessment: Visual assessment of pipe condition and any defects
  • Access Limitations: Documentation of any obstructions, scale, water, or camera reach limitations

Important Limitations

  • Visual Assessment Only: Our findings are based solely on visual observation
  • No Code Interpretation: We do not interpret plumbing codes or local regulations
  • No Cost Estimates: We do not provide repair cost estimates or prioritization
  • No Future Predictions: We cannot predict future performance or failure timeline
  • Snapshot in Time: The inspection represents conditions on the inspection date only

No Warranty or Guarantee

Absence of visible defects does not guarantee future performance or imply warranty.

Sewer lines are underground utilities subject to various environmental factors, ground movement, tree root growth, and normal wear over time. Our inspection provides valuable information about current visible conditions but cannot predict when or if problems may develop in the future.
